Happy Birthday Jami

I am not the best husband when it comes to planning special events. Jami is the best wife and I could never plan a day to fully compensate her for how amazing a wife and mom she is for our family. I do know that even when your 8 months pregnant, nothing is better than Baskin Robbin’s Ice cream cake! The stuff is expensive but it sure is nummy! We enjoyed a pretty low key evening eating ice cream cake and enjoying this hot spring weather that has arrived. This weekend I hope to take Jami out and spoil her a bit more. Maybe dinner and a movie? She really does deserve it! Anyone want to babysit?

Happy 31st Baby!

Happy Birthday Caleb!

Caleb is the big 04!  I can’t believe how fast time seems to fly by.  It’s seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home, and I had no idea how I was going to handle two kids.  Now I’m preparing to bring home #4 in a few months!  Crazy!

Caleb had a fun birthday.  Saturday he had some neighborhood friends and his cousin Boston over for a Pirate Party.  They played a few games, like walk the plank, blow up the cannons (black balloons) and a pirate version of Duck Duck Goose.  Then we had them go on a treasure hunt around the house to find their goody bags.  Over all I think the party was a success.

Later we took him to Chuck E Cheeses to eat and play games.  The kids had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa Gunn, Grandma Pam, Cassandra, Grandma Margaret, Ben, Jenny, Boston, Jae, Matt, Sarah, Emma, and Lucy all joined us.  It was crazy and we squeezed into two boths, but it was fun.

Sunday we had family over for cake and ice cream, and Monday was his actual birthday.  So I’d say a weekend birthday was pretty cool!

I love Caleb and am so proud to be his Mom.  He his learning and growing so fast.  I can’t wait to see what happens this next year.  LOVE YOU CALEB!!!!

Back to the Blog

As many of our faithful readers will note, It has been a very long time since I have posted anything to the blog. It is not that nothing of interest or note has been going on in my life, on the contrary, things are especially hectic. Rather, I think as many do I was a bit bored by my own blog and the process of posting and finding the things I was posting about incredibly un-creative and perhaps un-inspired. Yesterday though, we lost our blog for a period of 24 hours or so and it took me a good 4 hours or so last night working with our hosting provider to get it back. When I asked myself why I cared so much about getting the blog back I realized it is important to me and if it was important to me I needed to use it more. So this post is my re-commitment to our family blog which in many ways is our families living journal of events and moments that hopefully we can maintain for years to come. . .

It’s a ……

BOY! Yes that’s right we are adding another boy to our family. Abbi and I will really be out numbered now. Adam and I went and had the ultrasound yesterday. Everything went good and the doctor says the baby looked healthy and all the measurement were right on track for my due date. (Which is June 29th) Adam and I thought for sure it was a girl, so we had girl names in mind. Now we’re stumped. Any suggestions of boy names would be great. We are excited to be having another boy. Abbi is excited to be the only girl and Caleb is excited for another brother. Adam says we are done, So I guess if we want a girl we’ll have to wait till our boys get married, or the Second Coming.

“Merry Mis-Mas!”

Logan is talking a lot now and one of his favorite things to say is “Merry Mis-Mas”. When you ask him what he wants santa to bring him he says “Candy cane.” because that is all the santa in the mall has ever given him. Heck – why expect anything else? Aren’t kids great?

From our family to yours we wish you all a safe and happy holiday season!
Happy Holidays from the Gunn Family

Happy Birthday Logan!

Logan is officially a two year old. I say officially because he’s been acting like one for awhile. His birthday was Saturday. We invited family over for cake and ice cream that night. He had a blast. Adam, made him an Elmo cake, and Logan loved it. Whenever we’d ask him what he wanted for his birthday he would always reply “Melmo cake.” So we had grant his wish. Adam doesn’t think the cake turned out all that well, but I thought it was cute and Logan loved it!

Adam’s Happenings

Adam has had al lot of event, some exciting , some not so exciting happen the last month. I’ll just highlight a few exciting ones. The Marriott Hotel in Ogden remodeled and decided to have a grand re-opening. Adam did the design for their advertising, posters, and sign on the windows at the entrance. We got to go to their grand re-opening party and participate in the festivities!
The poster he designed. There was one in front of every room in the lobby.
He designed the labels for these root beer bottles. They looked awesome!

Adam was also able to attend the BYU/Utah football game thanks to some friends. He had a great time!

Last of all was his birthday. We went out to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse for his birthday. It was very, very yummy. I got him 4 tickets to a Jazz game for his birthday. We went with his cousin Greyson and his wife Oakley. I hope you had a great Birthday! I love you!

Caleb Bowling

Caleb’s preschool went bowling back at the beginning of November. Caleb had a blast. His Uncle Erik went with him, (thanks Erik) so Caleb thought he was extra special. They went bowling and then did a little performance after. Caleb seems to be a pro bowler. Erik said he did it all on his own. I was a little worried since he can’t do the bowling on the Wii. After bowling Erik took him to get a doughnut. Caleb had a blast! He is my athlete. Any sport he want to try and do. (Yes, bowling is a sport!) I love you Caleb!!!
Look at the follow through!
Thanks Uncle Erik.
