Summer! It’s almost over!!

This summer seems like one bog blur!  Sleep deprevation and four young kids has thrown me for a loop.  School starts in six days and I thought I should try and sum up our summer before life becomes even more busy.  I’ll do it by what each of us has been doing.

Adam:

He’s been working a lot.  Long days at the office and long nights with freelance projects.  It seems like he is constantly working.  Although he did find a little time to play.  He designed the logo for this years Farmington Festival Days.  As part of his compensation he got to go on a helicopter ride!  He also got to have a Man Trip the 24th-25th of July.  He  played a lot of golf; not 9 holes, not 18 holes but 54 HOLES of Golf.    He was also able to go to the MLS game a few weeks ago.

Am I strapped in?

Jami:

I had a baby (all natural) in June.  Need I say more!  One more thing, my brother Mike came home from his mission in July.  It’s been fun getting spend time with him!

Abbi:

She’s been my big helper this summer!  She was able to do Arts in the Park for a few weeks in July.  She went with some friends and had a great time playing and making things.  She’s swam with friends, played at parades, and has enjoyed her break.  She is looking forward to 2nd grade!

I want more candy!

Caleb:

Caleb is becoming more adventurous.  He’s had fun playing with friends, riding his bike, and doing whatever Abbi does!  We’ve worked really hard this summer practicing writing his letters and numbers!  He’s made great improvements!  He’s excited to start preschool in a couple weeks.

What? Do I have something on my face?

Logan:

We’ve been trying to potty train him all summer.  Some days are good, but most are not.  He has no interest, we’ve tried bribing with candy and toys, nothing is working.  We’re going to take a break for awhile.  Logan has figured out how to open all the doors in the house.  We’ve had to by child protection handles.  I find him in the pantry eating anything and everything, or outside roaming around.  He’s definately high maintenance!

Don't let that cute smile fool you! I'm a handful!

Carter:

He had a hard time gaining weight at first.  It took him three weeks to get back to his birth weight.  But now e is getting big!  We had his baby blessing a couple weeks ago.  He got to wear Adams old blessing outfit.  He had his 2 month appointment yesterday.  He weighs 9 pounds 10 oz, and is 22 1/2 inches long.  He is a good baby! ( Except between 8-10 pm.)  We’re glad he’s part of our family!

I'm thinking.

I'm thinking.

Our summer has been pretty uneventful!  But it’s been fun!  I love my kids and am greatful for the spirits the have and the joy they bring into our family!
