So BIG!

Our little family continues to grow. Thier individual acomplishments have been very apparant this weekend.

Abbi paid her tithing to the bishop today. She had about ten dollars which we took to the bank a few weeks ago and today we remembered to take it to church with us. She was so excited to give the bishop her “CASH”. After sacrament she took the envelope up to the bishop all by herself – when we got home she said to me – “Dad, maybe the bishop doesn’t have any money and that is why he needs mine?” – I laughed and explained that her money was going to help the Lord build temples and she felt pretty good about that.

Caleb is becoming quite the conversationalist. He loves to talk and tries his best to make sentences we can all understand. On Friday, while Jami was at the concert, I had to put him to bed withouut his binky. I was a bit worried he would freak out but he actually went to bed without too much stress over it and fell asleep. In the night he woke up crying and asked for it but we just told him to be a big boy and he fell back asleep. Last night we made it through bedtime again – two nights down. The rest of his life to go. . . Today at church he was actually excited to go to nursery. I have been telling him daddy’s class is BORING for a couple months now and I finally think he get’s it. (I just hope he doesn’t tell the gospel doctrine teacher. . . )

Logan is becoming more interactive and responsive to people and the goings on around him. Our biggest challenge continues to get him to sleep longer than a couple minutes without being held or cuddled. Last night Jami took a stand and at about five o’clock we had a showdown of epic propotions. Logan has quite a temper and was pretty upset that we would not get him out of bed. His cry was really weird like he was yelling at us or something. At first I just wanted it to end and was thinking I might propose an intervention, but the way he was yelling I quickly decided it was to the point where we just couldn’t back down. He finally fell asleep and slept for about three hours. Some growing experiences really stink – for both the kids and the parents . . .
